Is this safe?? May I fu… my speccy by doin’ dis?? Xeers…
It’s safe. It’s not as ideal as soldering the wire, but there is no large current going though the video signal output. As always no warranty is implied but it works fine and is not dangerous 🙂
Hi. It’s me again ;). I finally did it yesterday and… And It Works like a charm!! I did it just like u in your awesome and funny video, but finally put a drop of soldering and now… I can play with my NEW Speccy48k again! THANKS BUDDY!! 🙂
Bloody great news!!!! Enjoy!!!!!
Hi, where can I salvage a peice of wire to do this mod please? Any general appliances i can take it from?
Thanks
Anything like a strand of computer network cable would work.
Mark, I’m considering doing the composite mod to my 48k, there seems to be 2 mods, one with a capacitor, one without.
What are the advantages of using a 16v 100uf capacitor?
Thanks,
On some sets you will see a slight reduction in dot crawl. There’s also decoupling to consider, and the current passed to the RCA input on the TV is lower when using a decoupling cap.
