An AWESOME and FREE box of ZX Spectrum stuff from Dave Pucknell!
|Join me as I look through an amazing free pickup from Dave Pucknell! Dave posted in our Spectrum Community Facebook group Spectrum for Everyone that he needed someone to collect these items, so I went to meet him the next morning and here are the contents of the box(es).

Still watching it. It’s great he decided to give it to someone in the community rather than take to a charity shop or eBay etc. Plus he has officially made you jammy git 2017!
Turns out the modern world has nice people after all
Got my thumb down in Cymraeg, so that’s me happy for the rest of the day.
Great video, thanks for sharing.
I seriously considered driving all the way down from north Yorkshire for it all.
Only thing that stopped me was I couldn’t work out how to justify it to the wife.
What a top bloke, passing his collection on.
You could’ve told her you were a hostage negotiator on way to a seige
I will remember that for next time Baz, what a great pic up that was.
I love mystery boxes.
I am sad atm that I don’t live in the UK, or I would have taken a taxi
But taking a Taxi from Holland to wherever you live is not a smart move 😉
Thanks to all.. Id rather go to a good home than eBay it.
Thanks again mate. I really don’t take things like this for granted or lightly and will take it all on with the responsibility it entails.
Now to hide it from the wife…
Just managed to watch it. So for the questions… The machine code and programming is mine. Love the Z80. Still got one. The funky C15s contain my code. Forgot they were in there.
Perhaps Mark Payne can perform some technowizardry and transfer your code from the tapes to a file for you Dave Pucknell
I really have not got a clue what is on there. And it dont matter anyway.
I did not part with the books. See pic below…
The c15 boxes are bloody awesome
I got a boots c15 in a pick up last year and put it in the +2 eagerly waiting to find out what had been recorded on it…..it was pass the dutchie
What side was it on?
De lef
Ha ha ha ha ha.
Mastering machine code book is Fantastic ……
Saved the best til last there! Nice pick up, I’m jealous. I remember jsw 2 being amazingly efficient. Never finished it.
I’m in th market for a +2 power supply and an aerial lead!
May have an ariel lead kicking about for a +2a if it’s any good to you, I use a scart lead for my speccy.
If anyone wants to part with the paper inlay label of the microdrive box as seen at 20:40 into the video (“Introductory Cartridge, yada yada”), give me a holler! My expansion system case is looking a bit … boring now!
I could listen all day to the sound of cassette boxes being opened and closed 😊. Nice haul, make a chip is the standout for me 😂
Did you buy those themed inlays or get them from elsewhere Dave? For example the Space Shuttle one. My friend used a load of them for his compilation tapes, so it’s weird to see someone else with one 🙂
I have enough problems remembering I made tea and not forgetting about it. As for what happened 35 years ago… Lol.. Really I have not got a clue about the inlay for that one.. I think it was a swap..
